Laura McQuesten is an associate attorney at Hadley Law, PLC. She handles all family matters, including divorce, custody, visitation, child and spousal support, paternity, adoption, and protective orders. She also has experience representing parents and children involved with the Department of Social Services, children who are in or at risk of being in foster care, and children who are deemed children in need of services or supervision.
Laura attended Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas, graduating with a B.S. in International Business and a minor in German. After working in both the public and private sectors for five years, Laura decided to attend law school.
During law school, she interned with the prestigious United States Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals. Following her graduation from Regent University School of Law, she clerked for the Superior Court in Kotzebue, Alaska from 2013-2014. Following her clerkship, she worked for Solomon Law Group in Winchester, VA from 2014-2016. Upon relocating to the Hampton Roads area, she worked at East Coast Trial Lawyers, handling all types of family matters before joining Hadley Law, PLC in 2018.
Laura is a certified mediator and frequently serves as a court-appointed Guardian ad Litem for children in contested custody cases. She was the 2018 Chair of the Young Lawyers Committee of the Virginia Beach Bar Association.
Laura is an avid traveler, having lived in Germany, Italy, Canada, and New Zealand, and visited many others. Laura now resides in Virginia Beach with her Husband.
